On our way out of the Teton Valley and on to Yellowstone yesterday morning. We were able to view the entire length from south to north. The dirt roads were oiled the day before to keep the dust factor down for the surrounding vegetation. Snow and Glaciers could be seen the whole way. We stopped for Breakfast just on the north side Of Jenny Lake.

Rumor has it that Star Wars 6 used Stout Grove in a wooded chase scene. The most concentrated amount of redwoods. It would be what anyone would want to see when they think of seeing the redwoods. Just redwoods!! Sorrel carpeted the flooring between and around the tree along with many large ferns. walking on the surrounding vegetation was like walking on a mattress. COOL.

What a beautiful trip up to Cresant City on our way to the Ureys. The Avenue of Giants was just that., GIANT Redwoods. There was one area that was considered the ‘rainforest’ of the redwoods which is where this photo was taken. These ferns were as tall as my girls!

Our favorite photo on our way out late yesterday afternoon. The lighting was perfect. A screen saver for sure. We ended today in Santa Rosa , a halfway point before we head up to the Redwoods. Our trip to the Seuioas was filled with valleys of citrus fruits and nut trees. groves and groves of them. fruit and nut stands everywhere. Oh Yeah. we stopped.

This photo give the perspective one needs to appreciate the size of these 2000 + year old beauties. There were not too many of these trees that didn’t have burn or scorch marks from previous fires.
